For this project, you'll need a minimum of six sources; two must be scholarly sources, and one must be a primary source. This guide will help give you the tools to find these sources! I am free to meet with you for a research consultation; use the link to schedule a time!
When starting your research, you may want to start with broad, general topics. Maybe you know you want to write about race and medical care but aren't sure how to narrow it down. That's okay! You could brainstorm and come up with a mindmap that may help you narrow it down, OR you could start doing preliminary searches on Google or multidisciplinary databases. Check out our example mindmap and database suggestions below!
For this paper, your proposed research question must follow the Topic + Question + Significance (TQS) format.
"TOPIC: I am working on the topic of_____________________
QUESTION: because I want to find out ____________________
SIGNIFICANCE: so that I can help others understand __________________."*
