Please purchase your course materials from our partner, Follett Virtual Campus. Follett is The College Preparatory School’s official source for textbooks. Every order placed through our official online bookstore, www.college-prep.bkstr.com, supports The College Preparatory School and our students. Follett stocks the correct edition of every book on our list, their site is customized for our students and families, and they also offer used and rental options, as well as a convenient buyback process.
Purchases made through Follett provide revenue which helps support College Prep's financial aid program. Follett is also the only vendor with whom non-tuition financial aid can be applied toward book orders.
If you have questions about a book list, please contact Peggie Hamilton at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you qualified for non-tuition financial aid funds
, you should have received an email last summer from Graciela Benito, Director of Finance. The email included book ordering information and your Follett "check-out" username and password. Please contact Graciela Benito if you have questions about non-tuition assistance at 510-697-9640, 510-420-2328 or email@example.com
If you have questions about your assigned classes, please contact your faculty adviser. When schedules become available, you may access yours online on College Prep's Student Portal.
If you have questions about your Follett order, please contact Follett directly at 800-381-5151.
How to be sure you're getting the right item no matter where you shop:
Check the ISBN, or International Standard Book Number, usually listed by the seller or found on the back of the book. It should be 13 digits starting with 978- ; for example: 978-1-908374-12-7 or 9781908374127. This number is a unique identifier for that item and should match the number listed here, as requested by your instructor; please don't substitute any other format or version without consulting the instructor first.
Vendors and Student Resources
When buying books for your College Prep courses, REMEMBER to
- match the 13-digit ISBN listed exactly. If you buy from a vendor online, be sure to verify the ISBN before you purchase the book. Not all third-party vendors list the ISBN accurately, or at all.
- order early, consider paying for fast shipping, and call the vendor on the phone if you need customer service. Don't rely on email - it's too easy for them to ignore!
- buy materials for the courses to which you've been assigned. In the unlikely event that your course selections change, any reputable vendor should allow you to return your course books for exchange or refund.
