Library Usage Policy

We pride ourselves on being a welcoming space for collaboration, studying, and quiet conversation. When utilizing the Library, all students agree to the following:

  • Maintain a clean environment
  • Keep noise to a volume that does not disturb those attempting to concentrate.
  • Respect all library furniture
    • we expect all library furniture to be used as intended and kept orderly. We expect table chairs to be kept with study carrels to ensure they are usable at any time.

Students disregarding these expectations will be given one verbal warning before being asked to leave the library for the day. Please see our full Library Policy for more in-depth details.

Collection Development

The librarians do not restrict access to titles based on content, age or maturity of the student, or reading level. Parents or guardians who wish their children not to access specific materials in the collection should advise their students directly. Please see our full Collection Development Policy should you have any questions.

Information Curriculum Development

As instruction librarians, we are constantly learning and refining our teaching practices and curriculum. We currently work closely with Asian Worlds and Atlantic Worlds but hope to bring more advanced research instruction to upper-level classrooms in the '23-'24 school year.
